Dr joseph Greenwall Cohen
During my dental training at the University of Manchester and Harvard Medical School, I spent years researching the safety of everyday dental products. Through this experience I learned that a lack of regulatory oversight allows bogus claims and unsafe materials — from whitening toothpastes to unsafe enamel-damaging whitening kits — to enter the market.
As the founder of bio., I want to bring the highest standard of clinical practice to at-home orthodontics. I have realised that retainers and clear braces are made with unstable microplastic-leaching materials, that accumulate in the body over the years. I want to change this by replacing plastics with organic polymers that are biocompatible.
